We will undergo routine patching of databases at the Qatar data center. The goal of this work is to keep our database infrastructure up to date and ensure the stability and optimal performance of the affected services. The six-hour window is the time reserved for this work and is not an expected period of disruption. Patching requires the database to switch over from one node to another, which may make it briefly unavailable.
Preventive measures have been implemented to minimize any potential impact; however, at the moment of the switchover, services that use the database may experience short interruptions:
- Answers: loading or editing content used by chatbots, including uploaded media, may fail.
- Broadcast (inside Moments module): uploading recipient lists or campaign attachments may fail, and downloading previously uploaded files may be temporarily unavailable. Campaigns that reference stored documents or images may fail to launch if the database is switching over at that moment.
- Conversations: saving attachments to conversations, or sending emails with attachments through web forms, may fail.
- Email: loading or previewing uploaded HTML, images and attachments in the Portal, or resolving stored email templates, may fail or be delayed briefly.
- Live Chat: uploading files and images in live chat conversations may fail.
- Moments: uploading or loading images, files and in-app HTML used in message designs, campaigns and flows may fail or be delayed briefly.
- Voice: processing of new voice recordings may be delayed, and downloading recordings may be temporarily unavailable.
- WhatsApp Business: creating or editing WhatsApp templates that contain media may fail or be delayed briefly.
